Seoul Soondae Restaurant
About This Spot
Stepping into Seoul Soondae Restaurant, you immediately sense a comforting embrace of homey familiarity amidst the hum of a friendly neighborhood spot. Tucked away along Artesia Boulevard, this modest Korean eatery invites a slower, contemplative pace—where the clinking of bowls and warm chatter meld into a quiet celebration of shared meals and tradition.
The atmosphere is simple and unpretentious, much like the food itself, which carries the rich intimacy of family recipes passed down through generations. Here, the soul of Korean comfort food takes center stage, grounded in homestyle soups that are hearty without heaviness and the tender, thoughtfully prepared soondae that feels both soothing and satisfying. Seasonal touches, like the cool, clean notes of kongguksu in the summer months, beckon diners with subtle reminders of Korea’s diverse flavors and rhythms.
The rhythm of a meal at Seoul Soondae is one of gathering—where each bowl of 순대국 or serving of banchan is a quiet invitation to slow down and savor. There’s an honest kindness found in the way the dishes arrive and the way the space encourages connection without fanfare. It’s a place where the simple act of eating resonates with warmth and history, echoing the nurturing moments one might find around a Korean family table.
More than just a restaurant, Seoul Soondae offers an experience that feels gently familiar — a corner where traditional flavors and heartfelt care meet, quietly reminding you that some of the richest joys are found in the everyday comforts of well-made food and shared company.

Omg! They have seasonal menus,Kong-guk-su (cold bean noodle)! The taste was very similar to my Korean grandmother’s. The kongguksu is not sweet and the taste is very clean. Love it!!

Very homestyle cooking. Food taste like what you'd get at your mom or aunt's house. Get the soondae Jung shik = "Proper full meal - soondae" this comes with soondae. Rice. Soup. Side dishes. Soondae was average but the sire meats (liver and other parts) were really good and hd a clean finish taste. The soups here are good. Thick and rich, deep flavors. I will have to start coming back here more often for the soups.

Seoul Sundae Restaurant is a place that serves food that tastes like the food I used to eat at my mother's old hometown house. Clean and generous service. I hope you always prosper.

Just had lunch at seoul sausage and wow what a vibe. The flavors are crazy good, their sausage combos are bold, and unexpected in the best way. The kimchi pork sausage? Chef’s kiss. The staff was super chill and really helped me pick the right combos. The food truck setting is laid back but still gives you that gourmet feel. 10/10 would come back just for the sausage and that spicy-sweet sauce.

Who knew you could get North Korean style soondae soup in Artesia! I loved it. The banchan tasted homemade. The ladies were so friendly, like they were my aunties. Decor/interior is old but in the most comfortable that old school way. Check out this place.
